About me:
My name is Matilda Furniss, I'm the owner and sole walker of Love and Lead.

I have grown up with a childhood surrounded by animals, mainly sport horses and working dogs. Most of my childhood was spent helping people with their dogs are lure coursing events. Until moving to Scotland in 2026, I still helped out at my local lure coursing club.Â
​
I also have experience with training my own medical assistance dog, I work completely forcefree with my own training, however if you have any training that does need brushing up with on walks that is not forcefree, I am happy to continue working on what works best for your dog alongside your current trainer.

I also work alongside Good Karma Assistance Dogs CIC as a trainee assistance dog trainer, and am building up my qualifications to offer these services in the future!

Communication is Key
If the weather is too warm or your dog shows signs of illness or injury that would mean walking is unsafe- I will cancel the walk and look at other options of exercise and enrichment for you.
All dogs have individual needs, whether it be allergies, fears or favourite toys! Because of this, my walks will be tailored to the individual and no two dogs will experience the same walk!
Every walk you will get updates on your dog's day. Any concerns will be raised here, especially if they've rolled in something smelly! As a dog owner, full transparency and communication gives me peace of mind my dog is in safe hands, so I hope it does for you too!
